Despite dying at only 19 years of age, Tutankhamen remains the most powerful icon of the age of the pharaohs. This exquisitely ornate throne, fashioned from wood, covered in gold leaf and ornamented with lapis lazuli was one of the treasures unearthed by the ill-fated Carter/Carnarvon expedition in 1922.
